Human Redundancy Crisis (HRC): A Dynamical Systems Model of Human Agency under AGI Transition — Complete Research Package v1.0

Authors/Creators

Description

This record contains the complete Human Redundancy Crisis (HRC) research package — a formal dynamical systems model describing the civilizational-level risk to human agency during the AGI transition period (2025–2065).

**What HRC models:**
The model formalizes three simultaneous pressures on human agency: AGI-driven labor displacement (TR), institutional stagnation (SI), and resource depletion (RB). The central variable — Human Agency Index (HAI = AP^0.45 × SI^0.35 × RB^0.20) — integrates these pressures into a measurable civilizational indicator.

**Core finding:**
The system has two stable attractors: E3 (collapse, HAI→0.25) and E1 (symbiosis, HAI→0.72+). The bifurcation threshold TR* = θ/ρ = 0.225 was crossed empirically around 1993 — coinciding with the documented onset of productivity-wage decoupling in OECD economies. Without corrective action, median T_collapse ≈ 41 years (2066), with P(collapse < 50 years) = 75%. With symbiotic AGI architecture (λ₄ ≥ 0.25) and institutional reform (φ ≥ 0.04), the system stabilizes indefinitely.

**Key innovation:**
The symbiotic parameter λ₄ formally embeds HAI into the AGI utility function U_AGI += λ₄ × HAI. This makes human agency preservation a rational optimization target for AGI systems — not a moral constraint. This is the structural argument for symbiosis.

**Package structure (18 documents, 8 layers):**
- Layer 0: HRC_Condensed_v1.0 — single-file entry point for reviewers
- Layer 1: Conceptual (main paper + executive summary)
- Layer 2: Formal specification (Canonical v1.2 base + v1.3 institutional)
- Layer 3: Mathematical analysis (4D Lyapunov + 5D K_conc bifurcation)
- Layer 4: Numerical simulation (RK4, 4 scenarios, Monte Carlo 400 runs)
- Layer 5: Empirical validation (proxy variables, ρ≈0.072 estimate, country profiles)
- Layer 6: Robustness (stress tests, shock typology, antifragility)
- Layer 7: Extensions (political economy K_conc, regional spillovers, policy roadmap)
- Layer 8: Methodological (package index, audit synthesis)

Relation to SCF:**
HRC is a structural component of the Symbiotic Codes Framework (SCF). λ₄ operationalizes the S(s) symbiosis state function. φ_reform maps to the institutional layer of SCF. IDJ (Index of Demographic Justification, UDC v7.0) serves as an empirical proxy for HAI at the urban scale.
