Psychometric Properties of the Arabic Perceived Digital Well-Being Scale (PDWS) in Saudi Young Adults- Dataset

This Zenodo record provides de-identified SPSS datasets underlying the manuscript: “Psychometric Properties of the Arabic Perceived Digital Well-Being Scale (PDWS) in Saudi Young Adults”.

Files included

• EFA.sav: dataset used for exploratory factor analysis (EFA).

• CFA.sav: dataset used for confirmatory factor analysis (CFA).

Measures and variables

• PDWS items (17 items; 3 domains)

  • Emotional domain: E1–E7

  • Social domain: S8–S13

  • Cognitive domain: C14–C17
    Items are coded on a 1–5 response scale; higher scores indicate higher perceived digital well-being (as coded in these files).

• Computed PDWS scores: Emotional, Social, Cognitive, and PDWS (total score), provided as computed in the SPSS files.

• External measures: SWLS (Satisfaction With Life Scale total score) and FoMO (Fear of Missing Out total score).

Demographics (value labels)

• Gender: 1 = Male, 2 = Female

• Education: 1 = High school or less, 2 = Bachelor, 3 = Postgraduate

• Marital_Status: 1 = Single, 2 = Married, 3 = Divorced/Widowed

• Age: numeric (years)

De-identification
No direct personal identifiers are included. Data are provided for research transparency and reproducibility.
