The Biospheric Geodesic: Consciousness as a Gravitational Awareness System

This paper proposes the Biospheric Geodesic Axiom: the evolutionary trajectory of biological life on Earth constitutes a temporal geodesic structurally analogous to Earth's orbital geodesic around the Sun. Deviation from this geodesic produces biological consequences independent of cultural narrative or economic system. Consciousness is formalized as the gravitational awareness system evolution built to detect and correct that deviation. The thermodynamic foundation is grounded in England's dissipative adaptation theory. A Prospective Assembly Index A(x-hat) is defined and applied to a worked empirical example using USDA soil carbon data. One prediction distinguishable from Active Inference is generated: the Ecological Memory Hypothesis. Three historical collapse cases provide consistency checks.
