Description
Abstract
Gig workers include independent freelancers, workers via online platforms, workers supplied bycontract firms, call workers on demand, and temporary workers. The term "gig economy" refers to a labor market where contract or freelance work predominates over full-time employment. Instead of working for a single company, people in the gig economy frequently operate as independent contractors or freelancers on a temporary, flexible basis. The gig economy is composed of workers, consumers, and businesses. People without jobs can find full-time jobs through the gig economy. In modern economy, digital platforms perform the labor. The freedom that the gig economy affords employees is one of its main draws. They can pursue numerous sources of income concurrently and have a better work-life balance since they can choose when, where, and how much they want to work.
