MATLAB Framework for Simulating Building-Scale Hot Water and Water Pumping Systems
Authors/Creators
Description
This repository provides a MATLAB-based simulation framework for simulating water-energy systems at building scale, with a focus on hot water production and water pumping under sub-daily temporal resolution.
The framework is designed to interface with stochastic end-use water demand time series generated using a modified version of the SIMDEUM model (not included). SIMDEUM must be obtained separately under licence from KWR Water Research Institute, and reproduction of the case studies requires authorisation and access to a modified SIMDEUM version provided by the authors.
The software supports scenario-based analysis of water-energy system configurations and is intended for research applications in urban water and energy management and sustainable building design.
This software accompanies a manuscript describing its development, equations, and application (including a comprehensive Supplementary Information file detailing model inputs), intended for submission to a peer-reviewed journal; a formal citation will be added upon publication.
