Observation Background: During routine microscopic observation of a Yuan-Ming dynasty porcelain cup, a distinctive microscopic structure was discovered within its glaze layer.
现象描述: 在该盏的釉下青花发色区与铁锈结晶区,观察到青花色料与铁锈结晶体在微观尺度上属于同一釉层深度内紧密相邻、相互交织。二者之间未见明显的分层或覆盖界面,表明其可能在同一次高温烧成过程中同步显色与析晶。为描述此特殊现象,本文暂将其命名为“青铁共烧”。
Phenomenon Description: In the underglaze blue decorative area and the iron crystalline area of this cup, it was observed that the blue cobalt pigment and brown iron crystals are closely adjacent and interwoven at the microscopic scale within the same glaze depth. No obvious stratification or covering interface is visible between them, suggesting that they may have developed color and crystallized simultaneously during a single high-temperature firing process. To describe this special phenomenon, this paper tentatively names it "Qing Tie Gong Shao" (Blue and Brown Co-firing).
待解决问题: “青铁共烧”现象的具体成因,例如其所需的精确烧成制度(温度、气氛)、特殊釉料配方,以及青料与铁料在微观层面的相互作用机制,目前尚不明确。这有待未来结合成分分析与工艺复原实验进行深入研究。
Questions for Further Study: The specific causes of the "Blue and Brown Co-firing" phenomenon—such as the precise firing conditions (temperature, atmosphere) required, the special glaze formula, and the interaction mechanism between cobalt and iron materials at the microscopic level—remain unclear. These questions require further research combining compositional analysis and experimental replication of the firing process.
观察设备与方法: 本观察使用一款便携式手机夹持显微镜。该设备为通用型放大镜,购自电商平台,价格约20元人民币,无具体品牌型号。操作方法:将显微镜夹持于手机摄像头处,对准观察区域,肉眼定位后使用手机相机拍摄。放大倍率:设备光学放大倍率约40-60倍,结合手机数码变焦功能,系统总放大倍率约150-200倍。数据处理:所有照片均为原始拍摄文件,未经任何裁剪、亮度或对比度调整。
Observation Equipment and Method: This observation used a portable microscope that clips onto a mobile phone. The device is a general-purpose magnifier purchased from an e-commerce platform for approximately 20 RMB, with no specific brand or model. Operation method: The microscope is clipped onto the phone's camera lens, aligned with the observation area, positioned visually, and then photographed using the phone's camera. Magnification: The optical magnification of the device is approximately 40-60×. Combined with the phone's digital zoom function, the total system magnification is approximately 150-200×. Data processing: All photos are original files, without any cropping, brightness or contrast adjustment.
