Multimodal Field Documentation of Large Mammal Tracks and a Rare Black-and-Gold Spider Morphotype in the Pskem River Basin (Western Tien Shan, Uzbekistan)

Abstract

This dataset contains field documentation collected in the Pskem River basin (Bostanlik District, Western Tien Shan, Uzbekistan) on 26 October 2025 and 1 November 2025. The surveys were conducted to document evidence of large mammal activity and notable biological observations within the riparian ecosystem.

The dataset includes high-resolution photographs, video recordings, and contextual field notes documenting:

Fresh tracks of large mammals observed along the riverbank, including:

Unidentified large carnivore tracks (felid/canid-like morphology)

Wild boar (Sus scrofa) tracks associated with watering and foraging behavior

Additional track documentation recorded on 1 November 2025, including new impressions and habitat-context imagery from the same river system.

Visual documentation of a spider specimen exhibiting a distinct black body coloration with a contrasting golden dorsal pattern. The specimen is provisionally described as a black-and-gold morphotype for documentation purposes. No formal taxonomic claim is made.

All materials were collected using non-invasive field observation methods. The dataset is published to ensure transparency, enable independent review, and support future zoological and ecological research in the Western Tien Shan region.
