Climate Tipping Network Pe: Superlinear Cascade Amplification in Coupled Earth System Void Dynamics
Description
Applies the Void Framework's network Pe formulation to 16 climate tipping elements using the Armstrong McKay (2022) coupling matrix. Individual Pe scores for each tipping element (O = feedback opacity, R = amplification strength, α = constraint integrity). Network Pe incorporates coupling κ between elements. K11 (confirmed survived) predicts: at coupling strengths κ ≥ 0.15, individual Pe sums fail as predictors — network Pe dominates. Armstrong McKay reports average coupling 0.4–0.6, well above the K11 threshold. Paper validates against 8 paleoclimate cascade events and identifies the three highest-risk modern cascade routes by network Pe topology.
