Quantum Cryptography and its Applications

Cryptography has always played an important role
when it comes to data protection. However, as technology ad
vances and new fields emerge, traditional cryptographic methods
are insufficient, and new solutions must be provided. This paper
explores one of them, known as Quantum Cryptography (QC),
which represents a new approach to cryptography. Providing
a complete description of its theoretical principles and practical
applications, QC’s potentialities and efficiencies in providing new
cryptographical solutions designed for the new technologies are
presented.
