IMPROVING THE ROLE OF COMMERCIAL BANKS' INVESTMENT LENDING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ECONOMIC SECTORS

This study examines the role of commercial banks’ investment lending in the development of economic sectors, emphasizing the importance of improving investment credit mechanisms to ensure sustainable economic growth. The research analyzes foreign experiences, particularly those of Germany and South Korea, where commercial banks actively finance priority sectors through long-term investment loans supported by effective institutional and regulatory frameworks. The study highlights key factors influencing the effectiveness of investment lending, including risk management, coordination with state development strategies, and access to long-term financial resources. Based on international practices, the paper underscores the necessity of enhancing commercial banks’ investment credit policies to stimulate sectoral development and structural transformation of the economy.
