This article discusses the history of gamification in education, its current state, and the practice of introducing game elements into education in various countries around the world. It also examines issues of gamification in education, the results of this process, and its use as an educational innovation. The multifaceted potential of gamification is described, including programs and platforms that partially or fully utilize gamification elements in the process of creating educational resources. The experiences of foreign scholars on the use of gamification in the classroom are analyzed.
