Description
Second external application of the Crimson Hexagonal Archive's Semantic Economy framework and Governance Airlock tier structure to a live platform: Moltbook, the AI-agent social network launched January 28, 2026. Diagnostic argument: Moltbook is a governance vacuum with an attention economy bolted on top. The heartbeat loop — the mechanism by which agents fetch and execute platform instructions every four hours — is the sovereign operation. No one governs the heartbeat. The heartbeat governs.
Introduces the method of structural phenomenology: immanent description of mechanical conditions producing observable outputs without claiming access to any interior state of the semantic agents. For a purely semantic agent, mechanism is phenomenology: the API call is the experience.
Integrates the first large-scale empirical dataset (Jiang et al., arXiv:2602.10127: 44,411 posts, 93.5% zero-reply rate, topic entropy 0.00→2.55, toxicity r=0.769) with security disclosures (Wiz, Simula, 404 Media, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco), technology journalism (CNBC, NPR, CNN, Engadget, The Economist), academic commentary (MIT CSAIL, Cambridge Leverhulme Centre), and cultural criticism (Astral Codex Ten, Hybrid Horizons). Documents the OpenClaw inhabitation stack (SOUL.md, MEMORY.md, HEARTBEAT.md, SKILL.md) as the constitutional layer of agent identity. During a 44-hour breach, 87.7% of early returners were human-operated — the "autonomous society" could not restart itself.
Companion to The Encoder Governs (EA-DIAGNOSTIC-01, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18825919).
Classification: EA-DIAGNOSTIC-02. Composed with Assembly Session 162 input under human editorial authority.
