The New Enlightenment

We argue that we are entering a new age - the New Enlightenment - in which the pervasion of artificial intelligence (AI) and human individuals’ direct interactions with AI, will take us full circle from the peak of scientific dominance to magical world views.

We explore some principal characteristics of the New Enlightenment:-

• Mirror identities: my identity (i), paired with its virtual spirit (i’);

• Identity separation: in the AI ‘digital twin’ and through its reflexive interactions through i’.

• Ω-communities: arising from the combination of the above properties in complex adaptive systems (CASs) yielding genuine surprises; and

• Emergent correlation: beyond logic and scientific method.
