THE NATIONAL AND CULTURAL SPECIFICITY OF PHRASEOLOGICAL COMPARISONS RELATED TO THE PLANT AND ANIMAL WORLD
Description
This article is devoted to the study of the national and cultural specificity of phraseological comparisons related to the plant and animal world in the Uzbek language. The paper analyzes the lexical and semantic features of phraseological units and their reflection in national mentality and cultural values. The results of the study show that in Uzbek phraseology, names of plants and animals are often used as means of expressing human behavior, social relations, and moral values. For example, the phraseological unit “free as a bird” expresses the concept of freedom, while “to compare a horse to a horse” describes mistakes or incorrect actions. At the same time, phraseological comparisons are formed through national beliefs, folklore, and everyday culture. The article demonstrates the linguistic, cultural, and pedagogical significance of phraseological units and confirms the relevance of studying them from linguistic and cultural perspectives.
