Description

The present study explores the distinctive linguopragmatic and linguocultural dimensions of youth jargon used in English and Uzbek. The research focuses on how modern slang forms such as clipped words, hybrid expressions, internet-based neologisms, and culturally shaped figurative units function within everyday communication among young speakers. Particular emphasis is placed on the pragmatic intentions behind slang usage, including emotional reinforcement, the expression of group solidarity, identity construction, and the regulation of interpersonal distance.
