Structural Supervision: A Paradigm for Real-Time AI-Human Collaboration on Critical Infrastructure
Authors/Creators
Description
This document constitutes a defensive publication establishing prior art for the architectural paradigm of the GENIUS platform — a system for real-time collaborative operation between human operators and Large Language Models on production infrastructure. Unlike autonomous AI agents with behavioral guardrails or passive assistants that generate scripts for manual execution, GENIUS implements structural supervision: capability boundaries enforced at the code level, graduated agent profiles with protocol-level tool scoping, a physical execution gate at the byte-stream level, real-time bidirectional PTY sharing, and a three-tier persistent knowledge cycle with human-gated persistence. This disclosure describes the "what" and "why" of the architecture. Implementation details and source code are retained as trade secrets.
