Project E: Tension Without Structure
Authors/Creators
Description
This record contains the first completed publication from Project E, documenting a causal audit of rupture–reconnection dynamics in discrete graph models.
Across multiple formalizations, we applied replay-based targeted null tests, ablation controls, and mechanistic decomposition to evaluate whether polarity mismatch and turnover dynamics causally generate persistent mesoscale structure.
Results are negative: while mechanisms operate as specified, observed correlations do not survive targeted null replay. The findings therefore constrain the class of mechanisms supported by the tested graph formalisms.
The contribution of this work is methodological: it establishes an audit-grade framework for causal testing in stochastic dynamical systems and provides transparent negative results that narrow the search space for future theoretical development.
This record includes:
• The canonical paper (v1.0)
• A one-page summary for quick orientation
• Citation and documentation files
Future updates and addenda will be released as new versions under the same Zenodo record.
