A Review and Empirical Analysis of Wellness-Based Pet Care Practices in Bangalore City

Description

The paper provides a review and overview of wellness- oriented practices for pet care in the urban environment : Bangalore city. The research is based on the widespread implementation of digital tools for health indicators monitoring, telemedicine with the veterinary, and online-based pet services. It considers the appropriation of the technology-based approach for the health indicators in terms of disease prevention and quality of life improvement, the opportunity to boost the availability of veterinary care services and the sustainability of citizens as pet owners. This exploratory research involves the interpretation of wellness care related frameworks with respect to the data obtained by primary surveys for over 50 local pets keepers. The analysis of the methods indicates that 73 percent of the target audience already values online-indicators monitoring, 93 indicates the need for telemedicine with the veterinary an additional 61 percent recalls the financial barrier of affordable veterinary care. Finally, educational events in regards to nutrition, illness, and responsible pet keeping are also supported. Thus, the technology-based approach has potential to revolutionize the prevention care system and availability approach and the success of the pet running in the dense urban settings of Bangalore.
