Description

The article examines effective methods of teaching and improving writing skills in foreign language education. Special attention is given to letter writing as a multifunctional exercise that contributes to the development of linguistic, communicative, and sociocultural competence. The paper justifies a staged approach to teaching writing, including the memorization of speech formulas and clichés, analysis of model letters, structured planning, and independent creative writing tasks.The study also discusses the development of calligraphic and spelling skills, the use of visual dictation, and the importance of phonetic and historical spelling principles.
