Description
It has been revealled that Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) with architecture as the foundation have enabled Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) to attain a high degree of environmental awareness and institutional preparedness to electrical transition to the circular-economy. An excellent greater percent of the sampled respondents recognised the gravity of plastic-waste problems in the university, hence supported the idea of PPP partnership between the university, the private sector and the local people. This overwhelming agreement highlights the possibility of ABUAD as a prototype in the execution of sustainable PPP structures. The results indicated that the environmental awareness among the stakeholders in ABUAD is incredibly high, in terms of recognition of the severity of the plastic-waste issues and the validity of joint actions in the form of PPPs. A good behavioural readiness was also confirmed in the survey as many respondents indicated that they were willing to separate waste provided that there were good facilities.
