Description
Deliverable 1.1: Catalogue of Suitable NbS for Climate-Resilient Infrastructure, provides a structured framework to support decision-makers in identifying, implementing, and scaling NbS to address specific hazards affecting infrastructure.
The objective of this catalogue is to bridge the existing knowledge gap on the practical implementation of NbS for infrastructure protection. It serves as a comprehensive decision-support tool for infrastructure planners, policymakers, and stakeholders, offering a systematic classification of NbS, along with detailed insights into their effectiveness, cost-benefit profiles, and implementation considerations.
This catalogue aims to:
• Provide a structured overview of NbS options and their characteristics.
• Associate NbS with specific climate hazards and infrastructure needs.
• Present real-world case studies demonstrating successful applications.
• Offer guidance on cost-efficiency, carbon sequestration potential, and main considerations for successful implementation.
