Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana: Driving India's Blue Grow

The fisheries sector has emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments of Indian agriculture, contributing significantly to nutritional security, export earnings, and rural employment. Recognizing its vast potential, the Government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) in 2020 with a vision to usher in a sustainable “Blue Revolution” and strengthen the livelihoods of fishers and fish farmers across the country.
