Description

The article is devoted to the study of the transformation of the instruments and methods of Russian diplomacy in the context of the evolution of the system of international relations at the beginning of the 21st century. The essence of "hybrid diplomacy" is revealed and the conceptual foundations of its formation within the framework of academic discourse are revealed. Based on the content analysis of the editions of the Russian Federation's Foreign Policy Concept (1993-2023), key transformation vectors have been identified: the integration of digital technologies into diplomatic instruments, the adaptation of economic diplomacy to sanctions pressure, and the combination of military-political cooperation with peacekeeping initiatives. It has been established that the hybridization of diplomatic methods, including the synthesis of "soft" and "sharp" force, is becoming an imperative to protect national interests in the context of increased confrontation with the West. It is shown that the hybridization of the diplomatic tools of the Russian Federation is a multi-vector process determined by the need to adapt to the current challenges of our time.
