Adapting Bloom's Taxonomy to the Age of Artificial Intelligence: A Scientific Literature Review
Description
This literature review examines how Bloom’s Taxonomy—a foundational framework for categorizing learning objectives—has been reconceptualized in response to the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on teaching and learning. Drawing on more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and preprints published between 2023 and 2026, this analysis synthesizes emerging frameworks, pedagogical innovations, and empirical evidence that adapt Bloom’s cognitive hierarchy to AI-augmented educational contexts.
