Description
Presented by Cécile Touitou, Voichita Dragomir & IFOP, Head of the Prospective Unit / Library Director and Survey Institute, Sciences Po and SNSPA.
This CIVICA Café presents key findings from the CIVICA-wide student survey, conducted with 2,294 respondents across the alliance. Led by Cécile, Vochita and IFOP, the session provides an overview of emerging trends in students' information-seeking behaviour.
The presentation examines how students search for, uses and evaluate information in different institutional contexts, identifying common behaviours as well as differences related to their level of study and disciplinary background. It also examines the growing role of AI tools in relation to libraries and academic resources, shedding light on how students balance accessibility, speed and reliability in their research.
The session provides an opportunity to reflect on the broader implications of these findings for CIVICA libraries. Students' perceptions of the various libraries in the alliance are presented and compared, and suggestions for improvements are discussed.
