CAMILLIAN-SEMINARIANS CAPACITY FOR FORGIVENESS AND CARING, A PATH FOR THE HEALING MINISTRY
Description
The study explores the healing ministry of the Camillian way of life, focusing on forgiveness and caring, using data from 36 Camillian-seminarians in the Philippines. The study utilized the Bolton Forgiveness Scale and Caring Efficacy Scale to examine the correlation between Camillian-seminarians' forgiveness and their caring capabilities. The study found a positive correlation between forgiveness and caring scores among participants, but a weak positive correlation was observed between forgiveness and caring scores. The findings suggest that in the Camillian way of life participants reported a valuable disposition towards forgiveness, caring, and the healing ministry. Participants may also offer hope and healing to their apostolate areas through their presence manifesting forgiveness and care, hence, embodying the Camillian twofold spirituality of being Christ and seeing Christ in the sick.
