Peste's Promise: A Hypothesis-Generating Framework for Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia in Standard Poodles
Description
Peste’s Promise presents a hypothesis-generating framework for understanding outcome variability in immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA) in Standard Poodles. Drawing on detailed clinical observation of an index case, longitudinal gastrointestinal history, pedigree architecture, exploratory immune-region context, and broader registry and owner-reported patterns, this work examines how inherited immune configuration, cumulative immune priming, and regulatory threshold effects may interact to influence disease escalation and reversibility. The framework does not propose causation, predictive markers, or deterministic risk, but instead offers a structured way to frame future research questions related to immune regulation and post-threshold escalation in canine IMHA.
