What Stratichromatic Theory Addresses
Stratichromatic theory examines how multiple systems of oppression—including but not limited to racism, colonialism, colorism, classism, nationalism, casteism, and religious discrimination—layer upon and compound one another to create unique forms of marginalization for Afro-bronze populations across all genders, ages, abilities, sexualities, and national contexts.
Unlike frameworks that emerged from specific identity intersections (such as intersectionality's original focus on Black women at the nexus of race and gender), stratichromatic theory centers chromatic stratification as the foundational organizing principle, examining how darkness of skin creates hierarchical layers of oppression that transcend and predate other categorical distinctions.
It is "The Strategic North Star" - TOWS Analysis - the theory's greatest asset (in sum total) is its global, layered, all-gender scope — and its greatest vulnerability is an underdeveloped empirical base and limited mainstream recognition. The reparations game plan threads both: it builds evidence while organizing simultaneously, so momentum and credibility grow together rather than waiting on each other.
