COMPLEX ASSESSMENT OF THE AGROECOLOGICAL SITUATION OF THE SOILS OF THE BELGOROD REGION AND GEOINFORMATION SUPPORT FOR THE TASKS OF RATIONAL LAND

The research was carried out in order to conduct a comprehensive agroecological assessment of arable soils in the Belgorod region based on the index of cultivation using geoinformation technologies. The materials of the 11th cycle of agrochemical soil monitoring conducted in 2019-2022 were used for the work. About 70 thousand soil samples from an area of more than 1,3 million hectares were analyzed. The pH of the salt extract, the content of organic matter and mobile forms of phosphorus and potassium (according to Chirikov) were determined in the samples according to methods generally accepted in the agrochemical service. Optimal and minimum values of agroecological parameters of soil condition for the territory of the Belgorod region have been established. To process the data and build cartograms, the GIS Agroecologist Online web service was used, which allows automatically calculating weighted average cultivation indices and building appropriate cartograms for territories of specific land users, municipalities, and subjects of the Russian Federation.
