Gender fluidity, a concept challenging traditional binary notions of gender, has emerged as a significant theme in contemporary literature worldwide. In the Indian context rigid gender roles, the exploration of gender fluidity within women’s fiction becomes particularly intriguing. This research seeks to investigate the portrayal of gender fluidity in select works of contemporary Indian woman’s fiction, examining the narrative strategies employed by authors to depict fluid gender identities. The analysis of contemporary fiction reveals that authors are increasingly employing diverse narrative techniques to represent gender fluidity.
