Description

Urban Cairo faces significant challenges related to gender-based violence (GBV), with adolescent girls particularly at risk. Community engagement and mental health interventions are crucial in addressing GBV, but existing programmes often lack a comprehensive theoretical framework. Theoretical synthesis approach will be used, drawing upon existing literature on GBV prevention, adolescent development, and community-based interventions. A robust theoretical framework will guide future research and policy development, ensuring more effective interventions against GBV among urban youth in Cairo. Develop comprehensive community engagement plans incorporating mental health support components. Evaluate these plans using mixed-methods approaches to assess effectiveness.
