Beyond Instinct Towards a Practical Definition of Consciousness

For centuries, the problem of consciousness has remained one of the most complex scientific issues, perplexing philosophers and scientists alike. Research continues to understand the essence and nature of consciousness, its mechanisms, its location, and its relationship to the brain.
