Signal Detection Theory (SDT) Assistant
Description
SDT Assistant V3.1 is signal detection theory (SDT) analysis software for psychophysical and sensory data. Following the third edition of Detection Theory: A User’s Guide (Hautus, Macmillan, & Creelman, 2021), SDT Assistant has been expanded to support the analyses described in that edition. The software supports receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve fitting for rating data from Yes–No (A–Not A), 2AFC (two-alternative forced choice), 2AFCR (2AFC with reminder), Same–Different, and Yes–No with reminder tasks. It also includes a curve generator, binary-response d′ calculators, preference-model analyses, and calculators for tables reported in the book.
In V3.1, EV (equal-variance) Yes–No and EV 2AFC models additionally report a second asymptotic variance–covariance matrix for the reparameterization that expresses response bias using the decision criterion c (not yet implemented for other models). This release is the first Windows 64-bit (Win64) version.
