Proposal of the Reflection-Completion Model (RC-Model): A Metacognition-Inducing Discussion Support System Using Generative AI

Two files are included here. The English file is an extended abstract covering the system design, results, and limitations, whose original is the Japanese file of the full paper, published in Kindai University Junior College Bulletin (近畿大学短大論集), Vol.58, No.2, pp.45-67, January 2026.

The paper proposes RC-Model, an AI discussion support system that uses multiple personas to make users rethink their assumptions-instead of agreeing with them, which is what most AI systems do. It was tested against ChatGPT (o3), Claude Sonnet 4, and Gemini 2.5 Flash. RC-Model scored 4.8/5 on a metacognition composite measure, the highest among the four.
