Decoherence as Representational Truncation
Authors/Creators
Description
We reinterpret environmental decoherence not as physical state collapse but as representational truncation — the stabilisation of a finite node's accessible sector within an undivided whole. We prove that standard decoherence is equivalent to truncation stabilisation and that the unity constraint ⟨Ψ|Ω|Ψ⟩=1 is preserved under any consistent truncation. The truncation deficit δᵢ provides a measurable signature distinguishing this framework from standard decoherence.
