Description

Accumulative Exposure Fields and Resultant System States (AEF/RSS): Phase–Lag Diagnostics and Dashboard Instrumentation for U.S. Coupled Land–Water–Air Systems

This deposit introduces a measurement-ready framework for characterizing U.S. multistressor environmental change as a coupled Accumulative Exposure Field (AEF) producing a Resultant System State (RSS), where failure is diagnosed primarily through timing and recovery behavior (lag drift, coherence decay, recovery-window compression, overshoot dynamics, hysteresis) rather than single-stressor attribution. The manuscript is explicitly U.S.-focused, ecology/biogeochemistry-first, and agnostic on single-cause narratives; it proposes tiered claim-strength categories, falsifiers, and a data-ready roadmap for anchored demonstration and multi-basin replication.

This deposit also includes a companion instrumentation dashboard (HTML) that operationalizes the paper’s analytics as a runnable, inspection-grade pipeline: S1–S6 latent state vector construction, rolling lag/coherence estimation, event-based overshoot counting, recovery time constant (RTC) estimation, additive vs interaction/lag model comparison, and falsifier checks.

Files included

  1. Accumulative Exposure Fields and Resultant System States_REVISED_v1.docx
Primary synthesis manuscript (AEF/RSS definitions; distributed stabilizers; dropout/overshoot; recovery-window compression; phase/lag diagnostics; tiered claims; falsifiers; demonstration roadmap; publication-ready citation strategy section).

  2. AEF-RSS Risk Surface Map.docx
Plain-text “AEF/RSS Risk Surface Map” section mapping tiered items onto forcing / modulator / stabilizer / output, paired to the exact dashboard-computed diagnostic metrics (lag drift, coherence decay, interaction dominance, overshoot/RTC, variance/autocorrelation, asymmetry/hysteresis, and falsifier patterns).

  3. AEF_RSS_Dashboard_v0.1.html
Dashboard skeleton preserving the Climate Coherence Simulator UI/manifest style, with the AEF/RSS computation core swapped in (S1–S6, lag/coherence hooks, overshoot + RTC hooks, and model-comparison hooks).

  4. AEF_RSS_Dashboard_v0.2.html
Adds real data ingestion, event detection, RTC estimation, overshoot counting, and lag-drift reporting (pipeline becomes “run end-to-end” on uploaded time series).

  5. AEF_RSS_Dashboard_v0.3.html
Adds coherence computation, additive vs interaction/lag model comparison, and a falsifier panel (explicit “what would weaken this” checks aligned to the manuscript’s pre-registered logic).

  6. AEF_RSS_Dashboard_v0.4.html
Adds stabilizer proxy families and system-geometry change views (time-varying coupling network / interaction structure visualization as the “shape of the system” diagnostic).

  7. AEF_RSS_Dashboard_v0.4_GulfDemo.html
Anchored demonstration build (Gulf hypoxia chain) wired to the same pipeline (lag drift, coherence, interaction dominance, falsifiers).

  8. AEF_RSS_Dashboard_v0.4_GulfDemo_USGS.html
Same anchored Gulf demonstration, but with the demo forcing channel swapped for a real USGS-style forcing series proxy (e.g., May nitrate load or May discharge proxy) while preserving the pipeline (lag drift, coherence decay, interaction dominance, falsifier panel).
