MUT v5.8.15: Supplement XII: Nuclear Fusion through the Lens of Background Scalar Field Phase Resonance
Description
This paper reformulates nuclear fusion within the MUT v5.8 framework, interpreting it as a phase-locking event between nodes of the Background Scalar Field. The resonance condition is derived deterministically using the MUT constant and the local scaling factor at subatomic scales. Fusion energy output is expressed as the surplus scalar field flux released during the merging of nuclei, providing a predictive, frequency-based framework for binding energies across the periodic table. This supplement offers a foundational approach to controlled nuclear fusion via phase coherence rather than thermal pressure.
