Description
This work presents a controlled laboratory evaluation of a dorsal adhesive detection device for the tropical bed bug Cimex hemipterus, compared with a pitfall interceptor device. Four dual-choice replicates (30 adults per arena) were conducted under standardized environmental conditions. Capture was assessed at 24, 40, and 48 hours.

The dorsal adhesive device achieved mean irreversible capture rates of 65.8% at 24 h and 80.8% at 48 h, whereas the pitfall interceptor device captured 0.8% of individuals. Differences were statistically significant (paired t-test, n = 4, p < 0.01). Results are limited  to laboratory conditions.

The experimental procedures were conducted by an independent laboratory facility (i2L Research Europe s.r.o., Czech Republic; Study code 25/141). The full signed laboratory report and raw data are included in this deposition as supplementary material.
