VU Network Research Data Support Roadmap 2026-2030

VU’s (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) mission in research is to take responsibility for the future of humanity and the planet through fundamental and applied scientific inquiry. “Our research is high-quality, groundbreaking, and has significant scientific and societal impact.” To realise this ambition, priorities and strategic goals have been defined in the VU Research Strategy 2033. The Network Research Data Support underpins VU's ambitions and provides a robust and professional ecosystem for research support at VU. The NeRDS Roadmap 2026-2030 presents a strategic and integrated approach to the intentional deployment and further development of research data management services. Its primary goal is to ensure the continued relevance and scientific excellence of VU while contributing to the creation of outstanding facilities that facilitate innovative research. This builds on the foundation established over the past years and enhances the strategic goals outlined in the institutional plan and the VU research strategy.Through the activities defined in the 2026–2030 roadmap, we will ensure a solid foundation for high-quality support for researchers at all stages of their work, while making services more efficient, accessible, and user-friendly.
