Analysis of the Outer Region, Wall Region and Fluid-Solid Interface in Turbulent Pipe Flow
Description
Theoretical analysis along with empirical relations are used to split turbulent flow into two main regions; the outer region and the wall region. The location of the boundary between the outer region and wall region was found. Results fall within observed range and show the trend in the boundary location with respect to variation in Reynolds number and relative roughness. The study presented also shades much needed light on turbulent pipe flows.
