Mecardonia Ruiz. & Pav. belong to family Plantaginaceae is reported here as a new addition to the Flora of Allahabad district Uttar Pradesh. It is collected from Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh and identified as Mecardonia procumbens (Mill.) Small.
