MESA tool version 5.0 beta 2026.02.09

This package provides compiled Windows 11 binaries for MESA 5.0 (beta, 2026-02-09), a desktop workflow for preparing, processing, and publishing spatial sensitivity analysis deliverables using the MESA method. Version 5.0 fully replaces all earlier MESA versions and introduces a clearer end-to-end workflow from inputs to published outputs. The distribution includes pre-processed example data from Mafia Island, Tanzania, allowing immediate exploration of visualisation and reporting without additional setup.

MESA 5.0 emphasises an explicit and structured pipeline—Workflows → Status → Deliverables—with a redesigned launcher that guides users through data preparation, processing configuration, computation, and review/publishing. The reporting system is simplified and now Word-first (.docx), improving reproducibility and easing downstream editing, while advanced cartographic layout remains supported via bundled QGIS projects. A built-in backup/restore utility and lightweight status monitoring improve reliability for iterative and team-based work.

This is an early beta release, intended solely for testing and feedback. Documentation is incomplete, parts of the interface are still evolving, and calculation or stability issues may occur.
