Description
This chapter explores the role fears plays in Plato's ethics and politics. It focuses on how Plato proposes replacing the fear of death with a rational fear of injustice and ignorance in order to develop what we might call a "courageous fear," which is useful and beneficial both for the individual soul and for the civic community.
