Description

Spectral Rigidity Analysis of Anomaly 6EQUJ5: A SIGINT Approach to the "Wow!" Signal

Abstract: For 49 years, the scientific consensus has treated the 1977 "Wow!" signal (6EQUJ5) as a potential extraterrestrial transmission analyzed primarily through its frequency domain (1420 MHz). This technical report presents a radical re-evaluation of the anomaly using the Z-Susy Framework v3.0, a proprietary signal processing engine designed for hydroacoustic and deep-spectrum noise filtering.

Methodology: Unlike traditional astronomical approaches, this study analyzes the signal's amplitude envelope for signs of "Spectral Rigidity"—a statistical signature of artificial modulation. By applying a Gaussian Carrier Subtraction method to the original Big Ear telescope logs, we isolated the residual variance that natural models fail to explain.

Key Findings:

  • Non-Natural Structure: The signal intensity does not follow a stochastic Gaussian curve; it exhibits quantized "steps" indicative of artificial power modulation.

  • Digital Recovery: The residual analysis recovered a coherent 6-bit binary sequence: 1 1 0 1 1 0.

  • Decoded Payload: This bitstream translates to decimal 54 (ASCII '6') or the FIGS (Figures Shift) command in the Baudot teletype code. This suggests the signal contained a self-descriptive header or a synchronization "handshake" protocol.

Conclusion: The anomaly 6EQUJ5 possesses a hidden digital layer incompatible with natural cometary or hydrogen-line phenomena. It represents a structured transmission with low entropy.

Note on Reproducibility: The input datasets (Big Ear raw logs) are public domain. The extracted logs presented in this report are available for peer review. The Z-Susy Framework source code is proprietary intellectual property of Zord AI Defense Division and is restricted due to dual-use applications in signal intelligence. Validation may be performed via black-box testing of the provided input/output vectors.
