Geometric Flavor Localization: Resolving the Fermion Mass Hierarchy in Warped Spacetime

Description

While the gauge hierarchy problem is resolved by the warped geometry of a 5D Anti de
Sitter spacetime, the ”Flavor Puzzle” the unexplained six order of magnitude spread be
tween fermion masses remains a secondary challenge to naturalness. We present a solution
where fermions are allowed to propagate in the 5D bulk. We prove that their effective 4D
masses are a function of their localization relative to the IR brane. This geometric approach
naturally generates the fermion mass hierarchy without requiring fine tuned Yukawa cou
plings, providing a unified origin for both the electroweak scale and the flavor structure of
the Standard Model.
