Analysing India-EU Partnership in Perspective of India's Geostrategic Location in South Asia and Indian Ocean
Description
India has a long-standing relationship with the European Union based on shared democratic values and principles. The two countries have a shared vision of a multipolar world order that will enable them to develop stronger political and economic relations. India's relations with Europe have been going on for centuries, but changes in the global order and domestic priorities have always affected the external policies of the two countries. As a result, the India-EU relationship has gone through both periods of continuity and change. The MoU signed on the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor during the G20 Summit held in New Delhi and its future prospects also has given a new hope to strengthen the relationship between India, Europe and Gulf countries. This paper will analyse the geostrategic location of India in South Asia and the Indian Ocean and its future prospects and challenges.
