🇪🇸 LA HOSPITALIDAD DEL MUNDO

 es una obra de narrativa contemporánea que explora la experiencia del recibimiento cuando toda forma de intercambio queda suspendida. A través de una escritura sobria y fragmentaria, el libro narra un desplazamiento que comienza como viaje y se transforma progresivamente en una experiencia ética: ser recibido sin haberlo pedido y quedar comprometido por ese gesto.

La obra se sitúa en el umbral entre literatura, ética y filosofía del cuidado. El cuerpo —cansado, expuesto y sostenido— se convierte en el lugar donde la hospitalidad se inscribe antes de ser comprendida. La experiencia del recibimiento no aparece como una transacción ni como una deuda que pueda resolverse mediante reciprocidad, sino como una forma de relación que modifica a quien la recibe.

En este contexto, la hospitalidad no se presenta como una virtud voluntaria o como un modelo de comportamiento, sino como una experiencia que precede a toda decisión consciente. Lo recibido no puede simplemente devolverse: permanece como una responsabilidad que se incorpora al cuerpo, al tiempo y a la memoria.

A través de una narrativa contenida, la obra explora cuestiones relacionadas con la hospitalidad, la alteridad, la responsabilidad, el cuidado, la vulnerabilidad y la experiencia encarnada. El desplazamiento físico se convierte así en una experiencia de transformación en la que estar en el mundo implica también responder, aunque no exista una respuesta definitiva.

La obra dialoga con la literatura latinoamericana contemporánea y con debates filosóficos sobre hospitalidad, alteridad, responsabilidad y cuidado. Sin ofrecer una moraleja ni un cierre tranquilizador, LA HOSPITALIDAD DEL MUNDO propone una reflexión literaria sobre aquello que ocurre cuando una persona recibe algo que no pidió y descubre que no puede permanecer completamente indiferente ante ello.

 is a work of contemporary literary fiction that explores the experience of being received when all forms of exchange are suspended. Through a restrained and fragmentary style, the book traces a journey that begins as physical movement and gradually becomes an ethical experience: being welcomed without having asked and becoming bound by that gesture.

The work inhabits the threshold between literature, ethics, and the philosophy of care. The body—tired, exposed, and sustained—becomes the place where hospitality is inscribed before it is fully understood. Being received is not presented as a transaction or as a debt that can be settled through reciprocity, but as a form of relation that transforms the person who receives it.

Within this perspective, hospitality is not presented simply as a voluntary virtue or a model of behaviour, but as an experience that precedes conscious choice. What is received cannot simply be returned; it remains as a form of responsibility carried through the body, time, and memory.

Through restrained narrative, the work explores questions related to hospitality, alterity, responsibility, care, vulnerability, and embodied experience. Physical movement thus becomes an experience of transformation in which being in the world also involves responding, even when no definitive response is possible.

The work engages with contemporary Latin American literature and with philosophical discussions concerning hospitality, alterity, responsibility, and care. Without offering a moral lesson or a reassuring conclusion, THE HOSPITALITY OF THE WORLD offers a literary reflection on what happens when a person receives something that was never requested and discovers that complete indifference is no longer possible.
