On deviations from the Newtonian inverse-square law
Description
The Newtonian inverse-square law is reinterpreted as an effective consequence of Gauss's law and spatial geometry rather than fundamental postulates. From this perspective, deviations from the standard distance scalings arise from global or topological properties of space-time, while local Newtonian dynamics remain valid.
