Data extraction table for a scoping review on dementia-related elder abuse and intimate partner violence in spousal/partner caregiving dyads

This dataset contains the data extraction table for a scoping review examining the intersection of intimate partner violence (IPV), elder abuse, and dementia within spousal/partner caregiving dyads. The review follows the Arksey and O'Malley (2005) scoping review framework and is reported in accordance with PRISMA-ScR guidelines.

The dataset includes verified data from 26 studies published between 2018 and 2025, covering 14 countries/regions. Extracted fields include: authors, year, title, country, study design, sample size, data collection methods, measurement tools, theoretical framework, abuse types, study population, care setting, key findings, journal, language, and funding sources.

All data were extracted directly from original full-text articles through a bilingual (Chinese–English) extraction process and cross-checked against original PDF sources for accuracy.
