Bioethics, biosafety and welfare of animal husbandry are increasingly established as a fundamental component of modern agricultural education and practice. This direction integrates ethical principles, legal regulation, scientific and technological achievements, as well as public expectations for a responsible attitude towards animals. In the context of global challenges – climate change, increasing production intensity and increasing requirements of international trade – the importance of bioethics and biosafety is significant grows.

The content of the textbook corresponds to the curriculum of the disciplines "Bioethics, Biosafety and Well-being of Animal Husbandry" and/or "Bioethics of Animal Husbandry".

Recommended for applicants of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education in the specialty H2 Animal Husbandry and the second (master's) level of higher education in the specialty H6 Veterinary Medicine.
